This privacy policy explains which personal data is processed when you visit simonwalker.ch or contact me, and why. I don't use analytics, tracking or advertising, and this website doesn't set any cookies itself. As with any website, though, some data is processed by the services that deliver it. They are listed below.

When you open a page, your browser automatically sends technical data: your IP address, the date and time, the page or file requested, your browser and operating system, and the page you came from. This is needed to deliver the website, to keep it secure and to find errors. I don't combine this data with other data and don't use it to identify you.
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., USA. Vercel delivers it from data centres close to you (for visitors from Switzerland usually in Frankfurt, Germany) and may also process data in the USA. The texts, images, sound and video files of this website are stored with Sanity (Sanity AS, Norway, and Sanity Inc., USA). Your browser loads images, sound and video files directly from Sanity's servers (cdn.sanity.io), which receive your IP address and technical information about your browser. Some project pages contain videos from Vimeo (Vimeo.com, Inc., USA) and YouTube (Google Ireland Limited, Ireland, part of Google LLC, USA). When you open such a project, the video player loads from their servers, even before you press play. Vimeo and YouTube then receive your IP address, information about your browser and the address of the page. They may set cookies or store similar data on your device, and if you are logged in with them, they may link your visit to your account. The fonts are stored on this website itself. No connection is made to Google Fonts or other font services.
If you write to me, I use your e-mail address and your message only to deal with your request. E-mails are stored with my e-mail provider, Infomaniak Network SA, Geneva, Switzerland. I delete them when they are no longer needed, unless I am required by law to keep them.
I don't sell or pass on personal data, except to the services named above or where the law requires it.
Vercel, Sanity Inc., Vimeo and Google LLC are based in the USA, so data may be transferred there. Switzerland recognises US companies certified under the Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework as providing adequate data protection. For other transfers, these companies use the standard contractual clauses recognised in Switzerland and the EU. Norway and Ireland have adequate data protection under Swiss law. I process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, delivering this website and its embedded content is based on my legitimate interest in presenting my work (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR), and answering e-mails on your request or my legitimate interest (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b and f GDPR).
You have the right to know whether and which personal data about you I process, and to have it corrected or deleted. You can also object to its processing and ask for a copy of your data in a common format. To do so, write to mail@simonwalker.ch. For data processed by the services named above, you can also contact them directly.
If you believe your data is being processed unlawfully, you can contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern, https://www.edoeb.admin.ch. If you live in the EU, you can also contact the data protection authority of your country.
